We have another prize in the Raffle!

We have GREAT news! Another prize has been donated to the Bees4Vets Raffle! It is a TREK Marlin 5 Mountain Bike, 18.5″, Black with an Aluminum Frame, SR Suntour 100mm travel front fork and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, from Ray Fenwick Valued at $539.00. This is a really nice bike in the most common size. Delivery will be in person in the Reno area, we do not have a way to ship the bike, but you are welcome to come and pick it up.

We were honored to be invited to the “Insight this Morning” talkshow with Bill Schulz. We talked about our program, how we started and what we do. A huge thank you to Bill for taking the time to talk to us and sharing in our passion to help local veterans learn beekeeping.

We’re doing a raffle! In order to help fund our 2019 Veteran student-beekeepers we’re raffling some great prizes! Tickets are $10 each, or 6 for $50. The proceeds will help us provide our program for another 10 students in 2019.

Your raffle ticket gives you a chance at winning a prize, the top prize being a $1000.00 gift certificate to the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino in Reno, NV.* There is also a Champagne Balloon Ride prize, valued at $500.00, with an additional prize that we are waiting on confirmation from the donor. There will also be a few gift baskets.

Most importantly, your $10 will help us help more Veteran students like those featured in the video below (or follow this link.)

Your $10, or $50, or more will help us make a difference in the lives of more veterans. None of our personnel are paid, we’re all volunteers at Bees4Vets. Bees4Vets is grateful to every veteran who served our nation, protected our freedoms, and answered the call for self-sacrifice. You are our heroes, and our family.

We are humbled and honored to serve each of our Bees4Vets student-beekeepers. Thank you for all that you have given us, and allowing us to give back with our honey bees. We wish you all peace on this day of remembrance, and pride, of our armed service members.

Two bee keeping vendors made donations to Bees4Vets this year. Those donations directly help support the equipment needs of our program and students.

I want to thank Brushy Mountain Bee Farm and GloryBee for their generous support of our program and students. Without the support of the beekeeping community we wouldn’t have as nice a program for our veterans.

If you would like to support our program, we can take donations via PayPal, check, or cash as well as donations of equipment. We also accept volunteers to help our students lift and move hive boxes, etc.
